Relationship Rewards FAQs
What is Relationship Rewards?
Relationship Rewards is a free program that gives members benefits for growing their relationship with Desert Financial. Members earn points based on the various banking activities they do with us. Relationship Rewards is just one of the ways we share success with our members!
How can I earn points?
You can earn one point in each of the following categories (three points max):
- Transacting: Make 25+ checking account transactions OR have direct deposits totaling $500+ monthly
- Saving: Have $10,000+ in combined investment1 and deposit balances
- Borrowing: Have a current home equity, mortgage or auto loan
- Bonus Loyalty Point: 20+ years of continuous membership
How often and when are points calculated?
Household points are calculated monthly and updated on the first calendar day of each month (based on the services you have on the last calendar day of the previous month). Direct deposit and checking account transactions are calculated based on activity during the previous calendar month.
What is considered a “household” for Relationship Rewards?
A “household” includes all Desert Financial members who reside at your address. It’s our way of expanding benefits to include your entire family. This means you can combine points! For example, if you have another person in your household and they have one Relationship Rewards point for borrowing (a loan), and you have one point for saving, together you have two Relationship Rewards points. But a household can only earn one point in each category (Borrowing, Saving, Transacting and Loyalty), so if you have a loan with us and someone else in your household also has a loan with us, your household will get only one point for Borrowing.
