Get $400 when you meet the following requirements within the first 90 days:1

  • Have a minimum of 30 posted transactions.
  • Establish and receive a single direct deposit of at least $500.

Just answer a couple of questions to get started – once you hit Open my account, you’ll be taken to a new page where you’ll need to:

  1. Open your Free Checking account.
  2. Select your favorite ASU debit card design.
  3. Choose Staff as your ASU affiliation
  4. Enter your ASU email address.
  5. Finish the account-opening process.

Offer Requirements: New member must select Employee ASU affiliation while opening accounts online or mention this offer when opening an account in person or over the phone with a representative to be eligible. Primary account holder must be a current faculty or staff member of ASU and meet Desert Financial’s membership eligibility and credit qualification requirements, including opening a Membership Savings account with a minimum balance requirement of $25. To receive the cash bonus, the member’s new checking account must meet the following requirements within the first 90 calendar days of account opening: (1) Have a minimum of 30 posted transactions (not including fees assessed by DFCU); (2) Establish and receive a single direct deposit of at least $500 minimum; and (3) Must be open and cannot be delinquent (more than 30 calendar days) at time of bonus payment. Bonus will be deposited into the qualifying checking account within 10 business days in the month following the end of the first 90 calendar day period if qualifications are met. Bonus amounts are subject to all applicable taxes and the responsibility of the recipient.
